HARDWARE FAILURE

A hardware failure is something that all of us would like to avoid. If any of the hardware fails, we have to face serious consequences. Though the hardware technology is improving day by day, why is it that there is no solution for these failures? As the Science and technology news mentions, hardware can fail in any number of ways such as:

1. Memory Error: Although a memory error does not occur too often, chances are high that it can actually happen at least once! And once it happens, the data on the hard disk is sure to get corrupt.

2. System Timing Problems: Data can be lost due to aggressive setting of memory timing or cache access. This can actually cause a number of damages.

3. Power Loss: Power cuts at the wrong time may lead to loss of data. Hence its always to save data as and when you type.

4. Resource Conflicts: Peripherals that use same DMA channels or interrupt requests results in conflict and loss of data.

Some Technology tips and tricks to prevent data loss:

1. Always create a backup copy. You never know, when this will be useful.

2. Use two external firewire drives. By this way, one always remains the backup. This is the cheapest and one of the best solution.

3. Performing regular restores helps to recover accidentally deleted files.

Hardware failure cannot be stopped but we can certainly take measures to prevent them in the future.
